There’s no doubt Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels is at the forefront when it comes to the best rookies this season. While his impact can’t be overstated, Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier isn’t doing bad for his first year in the NFL.
Just recently, Frazier is gaining traction in the conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year as the season progresses. The West Virginia product has made a significant impact since joining the Steelers, showcasing versatility and skill on the field.

His performance has drawn attention from analysts and fans alike, highlighting his potential to become a key player for the team. Frazier’s ability to adapt to the fast-paced NFL environment has been impressive.
He has quickly established himself as a reliable option in the Steelers’ offense, contributing to their overall productivity. His work ethic and determination are evident, and these attributes have not gone unnoticed by coaching staff and teammates.
The Steelers have high hopes for Frazier as they look to enhance their offensive strategy. With his blend of athleticism and intelligence, he is well-equipped to handle the challenges of being a rookie in the league. As the season unfolds, Frazier’s role is expected to expand, potentially leading to even more accolades.
Pittsburgh Steelers’ Zach Frazier Named One of the Best Rookies of 2024 NFL Season
Frazier’s performance this season has garnered him a lot of rave reviews. One of those comes from Brent Sobleski in his NFL analysis for Bleacher Report.
Aside from a few poor snaps, including Sunday’s mistimed exchange on what could have been a game-winning drive, Pittsburgh Steelers center Zach Frazier has quietly turned into the NFL’s best rookie blocker.
“I got the tap and snapped the ball,” Frazier told reporters. “I was in the middle of making a call when I got the tap. I just got the call out. I don’t know exactly what happened, but it’s unfortunate.”
Let’s not dwell on any negatives. It needed to be acknowledged. At the same time, Frazier has been really good, particularly in the run game, where he’s a consistent tone-setter for a unit that’s gone through significant turmoil due to injuries.
As the rookie mentioned, he’s making the calls and setting protections. That’s difficult enough for any first-year player. Then, add in the fact that injuries occurred to both of his veteran guards. Frazier has quickly gone from newb status to an expected leader.
Fans are eager to see how he continues to develop and contribute to the team’s success. If he maintains his current trajectory, Frazier could solidify his status as a frontrunner for the Rookie of the Year award.

As the Steelers navigate their schedule, all eyes will be on Frazier to see if he can meet or exceed the growing expectations surrounding his promising NFL career.
