Taylor Swift has been in the NFL spotlight ever since it was confirmed that she was dating Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce. From countless news breaks and television time, Swift is already making a huge impact on the NFL. A lot of football fans are tired of the treatment she is getting, though, as some say they do not want to see news about Taylor every single day. The NFL saw these reactions and has responded to them.
Update: The #NFL released a statement defending themselves for spotlighting Taylor Swift during games.
This comes after Travis Kelce himself said they’re ‘Overdoing It a Bit’ with the Taylor Swift coverage.

NFL On Taylor Swift
The NFL released a statement defending Swift saying, “We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally. The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real-time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”
They continue by defending themselves saying, “The vast majority of our content has remained focused on the game, our players, and a variety of other initiatives, including our Toy Story Funday Football alt-cast, the international games, and more.”
Kelce Brothers React
Travis Kelce’s brother and Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce asked the question, “Let’s get to it, is the NFL overdoing it?”, regarding the Taylor Swift content. Travis then responds to his brother, saying that the NFL is, “Overdoing it a little bit.”
Swift has been the centerpiece of attention amongst the National Football League and fans are starting to get fed up with it. After this statement by the league, it does not look like they plan to slow down the Taylor Swift news anytime soon.
