Tyron Smith’s retirement has certainly saddened Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones. Jones recently commented on the offensive tackle’s decision to retire from the game after playing for 13 seasons with the Cowboys and one season with the New York Jets. Jones went on to admit that Smith will definitely be named in the Hall of Fame, and also regretted the fact that the team did not get a Super Bowl with him.
Tyron Smith was selected by the Dallas Cowboys as the ninth pick in the very first round of the 2011 NFL draft and played with the team until 2023. He played for the New York Jets in the previous NFL season. Before stepping foot into the league, the offensive tackle played college football for the USC Trojans from 2008 to 2010.
“There is no doubt in my mind that you’re gonna be in the Hall of Fame. It’s a tragedy that we didn’t get a Super Bowl (with you).” Jerry Jones said about Tyron Smith, after the offensive tackle announced his retirement.
Tyron Smith has decided to retire from the game in his own style. Smith will sign a one-day contract with the Dallas Cowboys as his way of honoring the team that gave him his career in the NFL. In his NFL career, Smith was named to the First-team All-Pro twice and played in eight Pro Bowls.

Dak Prescott Reacts To Tyron Smith’s Retirement Announcement
Tyron Smith’s retirement announcement has clearly shaken up the football world, with numerous tributes pouring in for the talented offensive tackle. One of those who reacted to Smith’s retirement announcement was none other than Dallas’ quarterback Dak Prescott.
“I always got your Back, as you had Mine! Enjoy Retirement!! Grrrrr @tyronsmith77,” Dak Prescott wrote on his Instagram post, along with a picture of Tyron Smith.

While Tyron Smith says goodbye to his beloved sport, Dak Prescott along with the rest of the Dallas Cowboys will be hard at work to improve their record in the upcoming NFL season. In the previous football season, the Dallas Cowboys finished third in the NFC East after winning only seven games and losing ten.

Prescott’s hamstring injury mid-season made it quite difficult for the Cowboys to win games. The Cowboys ended up playing their very last game of the season against the Washington Commanders, losing with a 23-19 final score.
