As the 2022 NFL season gets ready to kick off, many fans have high hopes for their teams. Whether it be a Super Bowl contender or a playoff hopeful, betting NFL win totals is a great opportunity to cash in. That being said, I have two win totals I love in 2022.
Denver Broncos Over 9.5 Wins (-135)
The Broncos’ win total at 9.5 feels incredibly low. For a team that might be a dark horse Super Bowl contender, the Broncos should win more than 10 games. Although their division is one of the toughest in the NFL, I see the Broncos finishing near the top of the AFC West.
With the new additions of Russell Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett, the Broncos have all the tools to be dynamic on offense. Wilson paired with weapons like Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton on the outside will be a nightmare for opposing defenses. On the other side of the ball, Denver is in great hands behind Bradley Chubb and Pat Surtain II.
I only see the Broncos losing a handful of games. It just so happens that these games all come within their division. Realistically, Denver will split the series with every one of their division rivals. The Broncos should cruise through the rest of their schedule with the exception of possibly the Ravens and Rams.
Seattle Seahawks Under 5.5 Wins (+115)
The Seahawks underwent one of the biggest changes this season after trading away Russell Wilson to Denver. As expected, trading away a Super Bowl-winning quarterback drastically changed the outlook for Pete Carroll’s Seahawks.
The quarterback situation is undoubtedly the biggest problem in Seattle. Choosing between Drew Lock and Geno Smith isn’t exactly the position most successful NFL teams want to be in entering week one. There are really only a few teams I think the Seahawks could beat, those being; the Lions, Falcons, Jets, and Giants.
Despite weapons like DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, the Seahawks will inevitably take a step back this year. Receivers can only do so much without a quarterback to deliver the ball. Pete Carroll is a tremendous coach, but Seattle’s schedule is just too difficult to feel good about betting the over.
