Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end, has reportedly beefed up the security measures at his home. Kelce was victim to a burglary back in October last year, and lost his first Super Bowl jersey along with some jewelry and cash. After being advised by the NFL itself to add more security measures, Kelce has apparently invested in ten cameras and movement detectors, along with two guards who are paid about $6,000 every month.
Kelce was of course not the only NFL player who has fallen victim to burglaries. Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ home was also burgled. The KC tight end has also apparently gotten two security dogs, spending about $9,000 on them.
With talented players like Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes on their squad, the Kansas City Chiefs managed to finish the regular season with 15 wins and a pair of defeats. After defeating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, 32-29, the Chiefs along with Travis Kelce, are on their way to the Super Bowl on February 9th.
Travis Kelce Punished For Taunting Buffalo Bills Safety, Damar Hamlin
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce was slapped with an $11,255 fine for unsportsmanlike behavior during the AFC Championship Game against the Buffalo Bills. During that game, Kelce was tackled by Buffalo’s safety, Damar Hamlin, and reacted by confronting him during the game.
In that game, the Kansas City Chiefs won the game with a final score of 32-29, after quarterback Patrick Mahomes went for 245 yards, completing 18 passes out of 26 attempts, scoring once. Kareem Hunt led the team on the ground with 17 carries for 64 yards, along with a solo score, while Xavier Worthy defended with six receptions for 85 yards, with a single TD.
Travis Kelce did not impress much in that game and managed only two receptions for 19 yards. In the 2024 NFL season, Kelce completed 97 receptions for 823 yards in total, scoring three touchdowns. The tight end of the Chiefs was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft and has been a strong pillar of the team ever since, along with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, also played in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles for almost a decade before retiring last year. The two brothers host a podcast together, called ‘New Heights’ which has featured a number of celebrity guests, including WNBA legendary player, Caitlin Clark.
