Davante Adams being traded to Las Vegas this offseason should leave no question as to who the No. 1 wide receiver is thi syear. Coming off his historic 2021, Cooper Kupp should be on the top of your list for 2022. Is there any case to be made for someone else as the first wide receiver off the board? The real question is, who is next? Or who could compete with Cupp for that number one spot? These are your top 2022 Fantasy Football wide receiver rankings.
A case can certainly be made for Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase. In Adams’ case, he’s moving from a team that was 15th in pass attempts in 2021 to one that was seventh. Even though he is seeing a downgrade in QB play, he could see an uptick in targets. The case for Jefferson and Chase are fairly similar. They both had a great 2021 season with above average QB play. However they are not the only legitimate option on their offense. Additionally they are both on offenses that feature a solidified run game. Both Dalvin Cook and Joe Mixon are elite backs in this league. With all of that being said, here are my top 20 fantasy football wide receiver rankings for 2022:
Tier One:
- LAR – Cooper Kupp
- CIN – Ja’Marr Chase
- MIN – Justin Jefferson
- LV – Davante Adams
Tier Two:
- BUF – Stefon Diggs
- TB – Mike Evans
- DAL – CeeDee Lamb
- CIN – Tee Higgins
- PIT – Diontae Johnson
- MIA – Tyreek Hill
- Deebo Samuel
Tier Three:
- PHI – A.J. Brown
- CLE – Amari Cooper
- CAR – D.J. Moore
- LAC – Keenan Allen
- HOU – Brandin Cooks
- IND – Michael Pittman Jr.
- ARZ – Marquise Brown
- LAC – Mike Williams
- TB – Chris Godwin
There is a pretty significant drop off from tier one to tier two. Cooper Kupp, Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, and Davante Adams are in a league of their own. Tier two is full of a number of quality starters that would be WR1 on almost any team. Tier three starts getting into some “hit or miss” wide receivers on any given week. Either way you really can’t go too wrong with any wide receiver on this list.
