On June 12, 2024, Tom Brady found his way back to New England. This time it was for his Hall of Fame ceremony with the New England Patriots. Despite finishing his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady is probably most known for his time in New England and what he did for that organization and their dynasty while he was there.
Brady is the 35th player to be placed in the Hall of Fame for the organization.
The quarterback, whose name and reputation precede him, was also honored in a halftime ceremony in New England on September 10, 2023 in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He spoke to the fans in a small ceremony and was also there with his daughter and two sons.

Tom Brady Inducted into Patriots Hall of Fame
WATCH: Tom Brady is Inducted into Patriots HOF
This sold out ceremony included a surprise appearance by HOF quarterback Peyton Manning, who went to battle against Tom Brady many times during both of their historic careers. There were also appearances made by some of his former teammates such as Randy Moss and Rob Gronkowski. His former head coach, Bill Belichik, was also among those famous guests in attendance.
The tribute video that was created in celebration of him was narrated by John Cena as well.
In the induction ceremony in June, Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced that the iconic number 12 would never be worn again and it would be retired by the franchise.
“There is only one iconic number that will always represent Tom Brady. And tonight, I promise, it will never be worn again. As the number 12 is now officially retired.” Kraft announced to a sold out Gillette Stadium.
Kraft also mentioned that the future plan is to be building a 12-foot tall statue of Tom Brady outside of their team’s Hall of Fame.
Tom Brady’s GOAT Status Résumé
Tom Brady has a very detailed and extensive résumé, especially in his time with New England, which is why many do believe he is the GOAT. Everything he did during his playing career is reason enough to explain why the Patriots organization has decided to build a statue and retire the number 12 in his honor.
After being drafted by the New England Patriots as the 199th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, out of the University of Michigan, he went on to prove all of his doubters wrong.
With New England, Tom Brady played for 18 seasons (2000-2019) out of his 23 season career (2000-2023) and brought a total of 6 Super Bowl Championships to the organization. He had played in a total of 10 Super Bowls, and has won 7, however 6 were with a single organization.
The well-decorated quarterback took home Super Bowl victories with New England in the years 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017, and 2019. He would take home one more victory in 2021 with the Bucs. As well as the victories, he took home the title of Super Bowl MVP 5 times. Four with the Patriots: 2002, 2004, 2015, and 2017, and one with Tampa Bay: 2021.
As well as his Super Bowl successes, he was also successful in the league in its entirety. He went on to be a 15 time Pro Bowler and was named the league MVP three times. Brady lead the NFL in passing yards four times in total and in passing touchdowns five times.
Brady also had a passer rating of 97.0 with 74,571 yards, 541 touchdowns and 179 interceptions in his 285 games with the New England Patriots. His record with the team was 219-64.
He left the Patriots in the year 2020 when he signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played there in Florida until he officially retired in the year 2023.
The iconic number 12 is most definitely on his way to the NFL Hall of Fame when his time comes.
Now in the post-retirement era of his career, Brady is set to become the lead color commentator for NFL on Fox in the upcoming season. Many former players have found their way to televsion after their playing time has come to an end. However, Brady now joins his longtime tight-end, Rob Gronkowski, as another one of those former players to turn to television after their career.
