ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates is reporting that the Patriots have made a move today. They FINALLY moved on from 2019 1st round pick N’Keal Harry. According to Yates, Harry has been traded by the Patriots to the Chicago Bears for a 2024 7th round pick.
The history of N’Keal Harry:
Harry, 24, was a highly touted downfield threat coming out of Arizona State. However, he never was able to latch on in during his tenure in New England. Harry finishes his Patriots career with 57 catches for 598 yards and 4 touchdowns across three underwhelming seasons.
The acquisition of Davante Parker during the offseason ultimately made Harry expendable. Parker joins Kenrick Bourne, Jakobi Meyers, and Nelson Agholor as the primary receiving targets for Mac Jones.
In Conclusion:
Harry moves on to the Bears in hopes of jumpstarting a once promising career that was never able to take off in New England. The Patriots are now free from the disgruntled former first round pick, who they selected before notable receivers such as Deebo Samuel, AJ Brown, Terry McLaurin, and DK Metcalf.
