Texas A&M Aggies Land LB Scooby Williams And CB Jaydon Hill
These are two massive gets for new head coach Mike Elko. Hill has been a talented corner during his time as a Gator. He has 88 tackles and two interceptions during his time in Gainesville. Williams was a top-85 recruit in the class of 2021 and had 69 tackles and two forced fumbles as a Gator. Williams had a simple statement of why he committed to the Aggies. “Coach Elko did a great job building the staff with quality people to help better and develop players like myself,” he said.
Things Are Looking Up
The Aggies went through a normal transition during a coaching change. It was amplified because of the current college football landscape. Players flocked to the portal after Jimbo Fisher was fired. Since most of the players were recruited by Fisher and his staff, it isn’t surprising that many of them decided to leave. However, getting both of these players shows that Elko is no slouch when it comes to recruiting.
The Aggies are hoping that Elko can finally get the program to the top of the SEC. It won’t be easy but things are finally starting to break their way in the transfer portal.
