The Cincinnati Bengals continue to chase that elusive Super Bowl championship.
The Cincinnati Bengals Seemingly Always The Bridesmaid, Never The Bride

Despite reaching the Big Game on 3 separate occasions in Super Bowls XVI, XXIII and LVI, losing to California-based teams in all 3, the Bengals have been unable to secure a Lombardi Trophy since their inaugural 1968 season.
Even though the team has had extended periods of success in 1980s and 90s with quarterbacks Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason, they never managed to convert regular season wins and post-season runs into championships.
In the contemporary era, it has been much the same story, with the Andy Dalton-Marvin Lewis teams of the early 2010s making the playoffs 5 times, yet being unable to win a singular playoff game.
A New Dawn In Cincinnati With Joe Burrow At The Helm

However, with quarterback, Joe Burrow, at the helm, it has been a completely different story. The reincarnation of “Joe Cool”, who ironically beat the Cincinnati Bengals in both of their 1980s’ Super Bowl losses, has already won an AFC Championship, narrowly losing SB LVI to the Los Angeles Rams, and closely fought a second in back-to-back years against reigning champion, Patrick Mahomes.
And, having made additions a-plenty this offseason, including adding veteran right tackle, Trent Brown, and tight end, Mike Gesicki, it looks like some more encouraging news might have surfaced for Cincinnati, per Ari Meirov.
#Bengals WR Tee Higgins said at his youth football camp today that he anticipates playing in Cincinnati this upcoming season.

Tee Higgins Trending Towards Staying In The Midwest

Tee Higgins has been the major focus point of Bengals news this offseason, with many predicting that Higgins will be traded in the coming weeks prior to, or months following the 2024 NFL Draft.
Having let long time, trusty wideout, Tyler Boyd, hit the open market during free agency, the Bengals now face the prospect of going from the best receiver group in the NFL, to one that is painfully thin behind already 3x Pro Bowler, Ja’Marr Chase.
Yet, if this clip is anything to go by, it seems like Higgins is, at the very least, amenable to the idea of staying in Cincinnati in this season and beyond, after the Bengals placed the franchise tag on the former 33rd overall pick in late February.
If Tee Higgins is traded, the 3 x Super Bowl runners up will certainly make sure that their compensation is beyond adequate, having already rejected the possibility of accepting a mere 2nd round pick for the former Clemson man. They will want, in an ideal world, something resembling a mid to late 1st round pick for Higgins’ services. Whether they get it, and if he is eventually traded, we will all find out soon enough.
