The Buffalo Bills are adding to their secondary. Buffalo signed Safety Taylor Rapp to a one-year deal. Rapp’s contract details haven’t been released yet.
Taylor Rapp has his eyes set on another Super Bowl trophy. Rapp won the 2021-22 Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. Rapp said, “I want to win and help this team out, help this organization win a championship.”
In a four-year span, Rapp has played in 48 games. Rapp has accumulated 330 tackles, one and a half sacks, 23 pass deflections and nine interceptions. Rapp has forced a fumble, recovered three fumbles, and scored a defensive touchdown.
Rapp joins a talented secondary led by Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde. Rapp is excited to work with Poyer and Hyde. Rapp considers Poyer and Hyde the best safeties in the NFL. Rapp wants to record more takeaways and learn from the safety duo.
Rapp also joins a strong defensive unit. Buffalo’s defense ranked sixth in the NFL in 2022. Buffalo allowed 319.1 yards per game and 17.9 points per game. Buffalo also recorded 27 takeaways which ranked fourth in the NFL.
Buffalo will give Rapp opportunities to make plays. However, Rapp must work hard, learn the playbook and consistently make plays during the offseason.
Rapp was drafted in 2019 and played college football at Washington. Rapp was a two-time First-Team All-Pac 12. Rapp also was Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2016.
