It is do-or-die time in fantasy football. If you are on the outside of the playoff picture, now is the time to make a move. Here is my list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football.
Devin Singletary RB Buffalo Bills

Singletary is the first on the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. The Packers’ offense is really bad right now. I think this game is going to be a blowout. Like Josh Allen might sit the 4th quarter kind of blowout. This will give Devin Singletary plenty of opportunities to rack up yards in garbage time. It isn’t just late that I like the Singletary play. Green Bay has struggled to stop the run all season. While Singletary is always a risk due to Josh Allen being such a heavy running threat, I see an offensive explosion happening where everyone on the Bills’ offense gets involved.
Kirk Cousins QB Minnesota Vikings

This one may be a surprise to some on the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. The key here is the timing of the game and the opponent. The Cardinals have given up the sixth most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season. Even though Andy Dalton threw two devastating pick sixes, he still threw for 361 yards and four scores. Cousins has a much better offense than Dalton. We can’t ignore that this game is at 1 pm eastern time. Cousins does better in this time slot than he does in prime time. An early game against a weaker opponent that has the potential to be a shootout? Sounds like a great formula for a great fantasy day.
Travis Etienne Jr. RB Jacksonville Jaguars

Etienne Jr. makes the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. After making it last week and having a good outing, I have him here again. However, it is for a different reason. The Jaguars traded James Robinson this week to the New York Jets leaving Etienne Jr. to be the featured back. This is what fantasy managers dream about. A running back that can catch out of the backfield and has no competition on his team for carries and targets. My mouth is salivating while writing this sentence. Even with some of his dumb mistakes, Etienne Jr. is a start every week now.

Speaking of Robinson, he also makes the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. The Jets love to run the ball. Zach Wilson has been subpar at quarterback this season but the running game has been superb. It stinks that Breece Hall went down but the Jets immediately went out and got a quality back. Their opponent, the New England Patriots, just gave up 243 yards rushing to the Bears on Monday night. It is worth noting that Justin Fields got a bulk of those yards and Zach Wilson is not that kind of quarterback. However, I expect the run to be heavily featured and Robinson to get plenty of touches.
TJ Hockenson TE Detroit Lions
I can’t think of another season where an offense started so hot and then went ice-cold. The Lions used to have many players on the start list and now it seems that they cannot get their offense going. Despite this, TJ Hockenson is on the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. Their opponent, the Miami Dolphins, has been weak against tight ends this season allowing the sixth most points per game. If the Lions find themselves behind in the game, which they very well might, expect the opportunities for Hockenson to be there.
That is the list of starts for week 8 in fantasy football. Good luck to all on your playoff push!
