Welcome to Buy, Sell, Drop, Hold! This article will go over players who we as fantasy football degenerates should buy, sell, drop, and hold.
Buy
Travis Etienne, RB, Jets
The Jaguar’s backfield belongs to Travis Etienne. Jacksonville ranks 10th in rush attempts and 7th in rush yards. Etienne’s value just exploded, good luck getting him, but he has league-winning potential. The Jaguars featured him this past Sunday where he had 114 yards on 14 attempts (8.14 ypc) and one touchdown. Get him if you can.
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Cardinals
D-Hop is back. On his first game back, Hopkins caught 10 passes on 14 attempts for 103 yards. Kyler Murray and Hopkins have proven chemistry in the past. Hollywood Brown is on IR so Hopkins will be Murray’s main receiving option. You might not have too hard of a time trading for Hopkins considering the previous year’s injury, his age, and the one-game sample size.
Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
Keenan Allen has struggled with a hamstring injury that won’t heal all year. He was taken out at halftime this past Sunday. The Chargers are heading into their bye. Why buy? It shows that the Chargers are being careful with their star receiver’s injury by taking him out early. The bye week gives Allen extra time to heal. His value is the lowest it’s been in years. If he comes back from the bye healthy, expect WR1 numbers because the Chargers will be without Mike Williams and Jalen Guyton and Herbert loves to target Allen. It might not be too hard to get Allen. I believe you can get all three buy candidates by trading away this next player.
Sell
Chuba Hubbard/D’Onta Foreman, RB, Panthers
We are doing a two-for-one deal here. Both players put up pretty good numbers despite the circumstances and their opponent. It could be lightning in a bottle or it could be the real deal. Either way, it would be smart to capitalize on their good game, especially if you are the Mike Williams owner. Neither player is someone I would start with confidence. Target the Breece Hall owner and take his soul.
Drop
Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons (95% owned)
So this is weird. I had said in the past that Pitts could have TE1 numbers. This was with the assumption that the Falcons would throw more than 20 passes a game. I might be insane for doing this, but whatever, the tight end position is stupid anyways, I will be dropping Pitts. If the Falcons get it together once Patterson comes back and they start throwing more and Pitts becomes valuable? Oh well. I’ll let that be someone else’s headache.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Packers (73% owned)
Romeo Doubs has been a dud the last few weeks as the Packers’ offense struggles to produce. We saw a brief glimpse of his output in week 3, but other than that 8/8 73-yard 1 touchdown performance, Rodgers and Doubs have struggled to connect. Both players are to blame with Doubs dropping catchable balls and Rodgers throwing at Doubs’ feet. Things are rocky up in Green Bay, and you can drop Doubs faster than he can drop a pass.
Hold
Michael Pittman Jr., WR, Colts
Times are tough in Indy. Matt Ryan will be on the bench while former 6th-round pick Sam Ehlinger takes over. The struggles with the quarterback have extended to the wide receivers. Ryan’s interceptions and fumbles have severely limited the potential fantasy output for almost everyone on the offense. Hold Pittman for a week or two to see how he is with a fresh young quarterback.
James Robinson, RB, Jets
James Robinson was traded to the Jets Monday afternoon. This move comes a day after New York lost their young stud running back to an ACL tear. The Jets acquire Robinson for a sixth-round pick that can turn into a fifth. This is a great move for both teams. The Jets acquire a skilled running back to help their playoff push while the young rebuilding Jaguars get a pick.
Fantasy-wise, this is great for Robinson. First, Michael Carter is no Travis Etienne. Second, Robinson’s role in the Jaguars’ offense has been diminishing over the last few weeks. This past Sunday he was only on the field for 17% of the snaps and received no touches at all. The Jets should use Robinson like he was used in Jacksonville before Etienne’s breakout.

Been trying to acquire Etienne but its tough. I’m facing Greg Dulcich vs Kyle pitts this week in my lineup.
