The Seattle Seahawks had a heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams. A couple of key offensive pieces picked up injuries as well. With Geno Smith nursing an elbow injury, running back Kenneth Walker also was injured during the game and the update from head coach Pete Carroll was not good.
Seahawks’ HC Pete Carroll told reporters that RB Kenneth Walker suffered an “oblique strain that was legit.”

Seattle Seahawks Kenneth Walker To Miss Some Time
Carroll described the injury as an “oblique strain that was legit.” That seems to indicate that Walker is going to miss some time. At the very least, it would be a complete surprise if he suited up for the Thanksgiving matchup against the 49ers in three days. This is not what Seahawks fans wanted to hear as they cling to the seventh spot in the NFC. They will have to play without one of their best offensive weapons maybe for a long period of time.
Team Outlook
Things get a little more complicated for the Seahawks after the loss. Even if Smith and Walker were healthy, the game against the 49ers is not a guaranteed win by any means. If they lose on Thanksgiving, they will fall to 6-5. If a couple of the teams in the hunt for the playoffs get hot, the Seahawks could start feeling the pressure. Fans will anxiously watch the injury report over the next three days to see how serious the injuries are to their two key players.
The good news for the Seattle Seahawks is they have some depth at the running back position. Zach Charbonnet will get more opportunities with Kenneth Walker likely out for a while.
