The San Francisco 49ers beat the Seattle Seahawks 27 to 7 despite losing Trey Lanes for the season. Lanes finished Sunday’s game with 30 yards on 2/3 passes. Jimmy Garoppolo stepped in and led the 49ers to victory, throwing 154 yards, completing 13 passes out of 21 and a touchdown.

After the game, Garoppolo said it took a couple of series to get in a rhythm after Lanez went down with a broken ankle.

“Yeah, it was weird. It took me a couple of series. I think I was sitting on the sideline; I forget who I was even talking to, but talking about coming full circle. I’ve been in Trey’s shoes; that sucks going through that. It’s tough as a young player, but he’ll come back better from it. And if you do that, I think it’ll set you up for success in the future, and that’s what I’m doing.”

George Kittle Was at WWE RAW on Monday Night

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle missed his second straight game with a groin injury.

His coach Kyle Shannon was asked if he was close to playing on Sunday afternoon.

“Yeah, he was close; that’s why we took it that far. But, obviously, he wasn’t able to go, and I’m glad we didn’t because I think he could have got through the game, but there was going to be a higher risk of him reinjuring that. To be able to pull that game off and still get a win, I’m very glad with the decision we made, and that should give him a much better chance to be good to go this week.”

On Monday night, WWE Raw was in San Jose at the SAP Center, where the San Jose Sharks play, and Kittle was in attendance.

If you are unfamiliar with the NFL schedule, everyone across the league is off on Tuesdays during the season.
