Russell Wilson is Moving On
Russell Wilson’s addition as the New York Giants quarterback altered the NFL quarterback landscape, shaking things up. This move shapes the Giants’ future but also affects the 2025 NFL Draft and how these quarterback prospects—Cam Ward and Sheduer Sanders—are drafted. Wilson is now off the market and will provide quarterback-hungry teams, such as the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, with the chance to pick their next franchise leaders.
Cam Ward: The Favorite for Tennessee at No. 1
While he is on the roster, Will Levis’s inconsistent play also means the Titans would be well advised to take a look at quarterbacks with the first overall pick. Given that Tennessee has a fresh coaching staff and a requirement for a dynamic quarterback, Cam Ward is likely to be the pick.
Ward’s elite arm strength, the ability to extend plays, and natural playmaking instincts make him the perfect fit for a Titans team hoping to find a new personality in the modern offensive direction. Behind an offensive line that is still taking shape, his ability to escape pressure will be key. Ward has an upside that the Titans can’t afford to pass up on at quarterback, especially since he could lead them into a new era.
Cam Ward just looks like a #1 pick…all but solidifying himself as THE guy.
The throw at his Pro Day that everyone’s freaking out about….he did it in a game.

Shedeur Sanders: The Answer for Cleveland at No. 2
With Jameis Winston out joining Russ in New York, Deshaun Watson is all that’s left. Injuries and up-and-down performances have resulted in Deshaun Watson’s future with the Cleveland Browns being uncertain, giving the team little time to find its next franchise quarterback. Shedeur Sanders could be just that.
Sanders has been perhaps the most efficient and poised quarterback in college football. Stefanski’s system is just the right kind for his ability to read defenses, make accurate throws, and operate in a structured offense. Selecting Sanders allows the Browns to secure the future and keep the flexibility with Watson’s contract situation.

Better than Cam Ward

Final Thoughts
Russell Wilson’s move to New York has solidified the draft outlook for Tennessee and Cleveland. With fewer veteran options available, the Titans and Browns are now expected to select Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders with the first two picks, respectively. These selections would provide both franchises with young, promising quarterbacks who can be the foundation for long-term success.
