Rob Gronkowski is only 33 years old and some think he has plenty left to provide an NFL team. Many have speculated whether he could come out of retirement but he shut that down in a recent interview with TMZ. In fact, Gronkowski has picked up a new sport in his spare time.

Rob Gronkowski Has Started Playing Pickleball
Gronkowski is looking to conquer the pickleball court now. He shut down an NFL return in this recent statement.
“There’s no chance (of an NFL return) anymore. I’m happily retired. I actually picked up pickleball. I beat my brother Chris, who plays with pros, and my other brother Gordon, who plays with pros too, and I beat them with an average Joe, my other brother Glenn G. was my partner. … I’m happily retired. I’m still competing, I’m still winning, so I don’t even need to go back to football.”
It sounds like he is doing fairly well in his new endeavor. His brothers who are pros are getting beaten by him on a regular basis it seems. The sport is less taxing on the body as Gronk often took many hits in his time in the NFL.
Gronkowski Is Up To His Usual Antics
Of course, Gronkowski is trying to dominate another sport. He has always been a loud personality so it makes sense that he would be trying to get back into the competitive scene. Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country with many professional athletes getting behind a professional league. Could we see Gronkowski in some sort of pro-am or even professional league? I would not put it past him. He loves the limelight and I do not expect him to give it up easily.
Anyone hoping that Gronkowski could come in and save their tight-end room will be disappointed. However, it is great to see an NFL player enjoying retirement so much.
