The Saints delivered the Eagles a steep offer for Alvin Kamara
Alvin Kamara is one of the most desired running backs in the NFL before the Nov. 1st trade deadline. The Saints are heading into Week 8 with a 2-5 record. Since they’re nowhere close to being a playoff team, it would make sense for the Saints to be sellers during trade season. Kamara is a prime asset for the team, and recent reports indicate phone calls are being made about the 27-year-old running back. According to Albert Breer with Sports Illustrated, the Saints delivered one team a steep fee for Kamara.
There have been conflicting reports on Alvin Kamara, but one GM told me he thought the Saints would consider moving him to the Eagles if Philadelphia gives them back the first-rounder they traded in April.
The Eagles are going all in
The Philadelphia Eagles have been aggressive in making moves this season. The Eagles made a blockbuster trade during the NFL Draft when they traded for wide receiver A.J. Brown. Earlier this week, the Eagles traded for defensive EDGE rusher Robert Quinn. The Eagles, who have the best record in the NFL, appear to be putting all their chips in on a Super Bowl run this season. It’ll be interesting to see how desperate the Eagles are for Kamara. The Saints delivered a message that Kamara is still a valuable weapon.
For context, here is the trade deal with the Saints losing a first-round pick in 2023.

It’s a heavy price for a running back with an injury history. However, when Kamara is hot, he can be one of the best running backs in the league. He’s versatile in the running and passing game. The All-Pro running back has consistent success, as Kamara has made the Pro Bowl five times. He has over 8,000 yards rushing and receiving since coming into the league as a third-round pick in 2017. Kamara has found the endzone 68 times. Kamara could be the piece that brings the Super Bowl back to the Eagles. But it will cost them in the future.
