Ravens Urged To Bench Cornerback After Week 12

After a disappointing performance in Week 12, the Baltimore Ravens are facing increasing calls to bench their struggling cornerback Brandon Stephens as they look to solidify their defense. As the NFL playoff race heats up, addressing this issue could be crucial for the team’s success moving forward.

Baltimore is making waves in the NFL as they continue their strong campaign in Week 13. After a hard-fought victory against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Ravens stand at 8-4, firmly in contention for the AFC North title. Their balanced approach, combining a potent offense with a resilient defense, positions them as a formidable force as the playoffs approach.

Lamar Jackson remains the heartbeat of the team’s offense. His dual-threat capability allows the team to keep defenses guessing, making them one of the most dynamic units in the league. Jackson’s performance against the Chargers showcased his ability to make critical plays under pressure, further solidifying his status as a top-tier quarterback. As he continues to excel, Baltimore’s chances of success in the postseason grow stronger.

Defensively, the Ravens have been impressive, consistently shutting down opposing offenses and creating turnovers. Their defensive line, complemented by a skilled secondary, ranks among the best in the league. This unit’s ability to apply pressure and disrupt plays has been key to their recent success, allowing the team to remain competitive in tight games.

Looking ahead, Baltimore faces a challenging schedule, but their current form and depth give them confidence. With playoff aspirations on the line, maintaining momentum will be crucial. They are in a prime position to secure a playoff spot, thanks to their strong performances and strategic game planning.

Stephens’ struggle this season is costing Baltimore on the field. According to an analysis by Bleacher Report, the team must bench him right away.

The Ravens have been trying to figure out their secondary all season and that process continued on Monday night.

Ar’Darius Washington got more run in the team’s first game since waiving Eddie Jackson. Nate Wiggins was also a big winner on the night. He posted six solo tackles and logged two more pass deflections. His willingness to come downhill and be physical stood out.

Yet, the Ravens are still trotting out Brandon Stephens as the starting corner opposite Marlon Humphrey. It’s time to either go with the rookie or even give Tre’Davious White that role.

Baltimore is grappling with defensive inconsistencies, particularly in their secondary. With Stephens struggling as a starting cornerback, it’s time to consider benching him in favor of rookie talent or other options. This shift could enhance the team’s defensive performance as they seek to solidify their playoff position.

The team’s recent success has been fueled by aggressive offensive strategies, but a stronger defensive lineup is crucial moving forward. By making this change, the Ravens can better address their weaknesses and improve their chances for success in the postseason.
