Rashee Rice’s offseason continues to get worse and worse.
Rashee Rice’s Car Involved In Serious Vehicular Incident
After being seen fleeing from the scene of a multi-vehicle accident, Rice faced up to 10 years in prison on account of leasing the car involved in a street race that resulted in a hit-and-run, 6 car crash.
Nearly an ounce of marijuana (10.8g), was found in the Super Bowl winner’s car after the accident – however, in the state of Texas, this amount would only qualify as essentially the lowest level misdemeanor possible.
Although Rice has spoken publicly and taken accountability for the incident, it seems like there are further legal actions set to be taken, as WFAA reports that the Dallas Police Department (DPD) has issued a warrant for the 2nd year wideout’s arrest.

What Will Happen To Rashee Rice?
Firstly, this is not exactly a surprise, as reports surfaced earlier on Wednesday that criminal charges were likely to be filed.
Rashee Rice faces 8 total charges; 7 of which are counts towards collision, and the final of which pertains to aggravated assault.
Rice’s final counts – aggravated assault, carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison, and/or a fine of up to $10,000, as a second degree felony.
In addition, it is widely believed that the NFL will deliver a strong message to Rice, and give him a lengthy suspension.
Could this change the Kansas City Chiefs’ strategy heading in to the 2024 NFL Draft in late April? Quite possibly, especially if Rice is set to miss considerable time this upcoming season, making an already thin receiver corps – despite their free agent acquisition of Marquise Brown in March – even thinner.
