The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost three straight games and four of their last five, putting them in danger of posting a losing season, their first under head coach Mike Tomlin. The season has been a disaster for the usually consistent AFC North squad. However, lack of effort and on-field miscues have marred the Steelers, leaving fans and analysts questioning if Tomlin has anything left to give the city of Pittsburgh. One NFL analyst, former Steelers defensive back Ryan Clark, believes Tomlin should move on from position with the club, suggesting his time is nearing the end.

“And Coach Tomlin should now move on from Pittsburgh. And everyone should line up to hire him because the fricking man knows how to do it but he shouldn’t do it there anymore.”@GetUpESPN pic.twitter.com/6P8qImotvh

NFL Analyst Ryan Clark Sounds Off about Situation in Pittsburgh
“Coach Tomlin should now move on from Pittsburgh. And everyone should line up to hire him because the fricking man knows how to do it, but he shouldn’t do it there anymore.”
Before going on his tirade, Clark references Kansas Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who departs from the Philadelphia Eagles after 13 years with the club. Reid, like Tomlin, was largely successful during a long period with one team, but the bench boss and the organization parted ways after failing to meet expectations for consecutive seasons.
Clark went off on the current Steelers, led by Tomlin, saying, “Some of it is him not getting it right. I believe he has tried to adjust. I believe part of his adjustment was always; I’m going to allow you to be you; I’m going to give you that space, and in giving you that space, in return, return effort; in return, you’ll return professionalism; in return, you’ll care about me and what we do with this team the same way I’ve cared about you not to jettison you, not to judge you, not to criticize you, and allow you to be the human that you are. He is not getting that from these guys.”
Multiple Pittsburgh Steelers players, notably wide receiver George Pickens, have come under fire this season for a lack of effort on game day. Pickens got blasted on social media last Sunday for showing no effort in blocking for running back Jaylen Warren down in the red zone. Additionally, fellow wideout Diontae Johnson has also failed to show effort in the perimeter blocking game, leading to questions surrounding the effort displayed by the Steelers.
“These dudes ain’t rewarding him. These dudes are taking advantage of him.”

Pittsburgh Steelers: Losers of Four of Last Five
The Steelers have lost three straight, including four of their last five. December has been a brutal month for Pittsburgh, with the team losing to the lowly Arizona Cardinals, the depleted New England Patriots, and the Indianapolis Colts. Their most recent defeat, on the road against the Colts, saw the Steelers gain just 216 yards of offense. Quarterback Mitch Trubisky struggled, throwing for 169 yards and a touchdown against two picks. Pittsburgh ranks in the bottom five in points and yards gained this season.
