Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson is deep into his preparation for the 2024 NFL season and it apparently involves hitting the boxing gym. On Tuesday, the nine-time Pro Bowler posted pictures online showing him inside world-renowned boxing trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card gym.
“Back in the Ring. Started in 2018 through 2020. Had some of my best years. Then COVID hit in 2020 and couldn’t go back in. Good to see my guys again Freddy Roach & Marvin Somodio #QuickFeetHeavyHands 🥊🏆”

This is not the first time that Wilson hooked up with Roach, who is best known for helping boxing great Manny Pacquiao reach legendary status in the sport. Wilson also trained under Roach back in 2017 when the quarterback was still with the Seattle Seahawks.
After two letdown seasons with the Denver Broncos, Wilson is eyeing a career revival with the Steelers, who signed the 35-year-old quarterback to a one-year deal worth $1.21 million last March.
