The Philadelphia Eagles had a terrible ending to their season and are looking to get back to being one of the most dominant teams in the entire NFL. We have some Philadelphia Eagles news as they have agreed to a deal with San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price.
Davis-Price has not been able to get on the field as through two seasons he has appeared in seven games and recorded 40 carries for 120 yards (3.0 yards per attempt) without a rushing touchdown as well as a pair of targets. He played for the LSU Tigers from 2019-2021 and recorded 30 total touchdowns and more than 3,600 yards from scrimmage before being selected 93rd overall in the 2022 NFL draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
What can the Philadelphia Eagles do this offseason to be Super Bowl threats next season?
The Philadelphia Eagles are in a weird position where they have some outstanding talent but had a struggling end of the regular season and lost the NFC East as well as in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs. The defense needs to see a lot more improvement, specifically in the secondary as they were unable to stop the opposing passing game.
The team has a little more than $19 million in cap space right now but that number can increase with some contract restructures and cuts. Some of the top secondary players are Budda Baker (club option), Eddie Jackson and Adoree’ Jackson so adding one of those players would significantly improve the roster.
The offense seems fine and they need to figure out what they are doing with Jason Kelce and an older offensive line. However, that feels like more of internal/NFL draft needs than a free agent acquisition.
