The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to move up from the 22nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. General Manager Howie Roseman has been known for taking chances with his trades in trying to improve the roster. One of the positions they need in this year’s draft is cornerback.
They are looking to make some trades to improve the roster. Cornerback is one of the positions they have to fix before next season. The Philadelphia Eagles could also use some help at safety and a slot wide receiver. Who are some of the teams that they could trade up with during the 2024 NFL Draft?
The Philadelphia Eagles Most Likely Trade Up Spot Could Be the 17th Overall Pick With the Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia’s most likely reasonable chance to trade up in the 2024 NFL Draft is with the Jacksonville Jaguars at 17. If a cornerback does not go within the first 16 selections and that is very well possible, the Eagles may not wait for cornerback Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo to fall to them at the 22nd pick. The Pittsburgh Steelers may very snatch him if the Philadelphia Eagles do not trade up for him. Mitchell may be the best cornerback in this year’s draft class. The Eagles would probably also have to give up the 50th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati has the 18th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Bengals could be a candidate that could trade down because they feel like they have a stacked enough roster as it is and a trade four spots down would not hurt them for the player they want to draft.
The Cincinnati Bengals need help on the offensive line and the Philadelphia Eagles don’t. Cincinnati could get better value for offensive linemen 22nd overall rather than 18th overall. The Bengals have a good enough secondary that they don’t need help there.
Miami Dolphins
Would the Miami Dolphins just move back one spot with the Philadephia Eagles? Miami is also a team that feels like they don’t have a lot of needs but getting an extra draft pick from the Eagles would not hurt the Dolphins.
It is possible that teams behind the Philadelphia Eagles could jump them for a cornerback potentially if someone very good is still available. The Miami Dolphins need help on the offensive line and not in the secondary.
