The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to recover from the disastrous fallout they went through in 2023. There are many questions surrounding the team, and AJ Brown’s personality is among the things being questioned by fans and the media.
After reports surfaced of him being a cancer in the locker room, some sections of the Philadelphia Eagles fandom were quick to lay onto the 26-year-old wideout for his attitude. While there are still many who support him, there’s no doubt that the report hurt his reputation in the City of Brotherly Love.
Brown wanted to clear the air on the issue and made it clear to everyone the team he wanted to play for in 2024.
AJ Brown wants to play for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024
AJ Brown called 94.1 WIP to send a message to Eagles fans and the rest of the media about what he wants to do in 2024.
He made it clear that he’s not going anywhere, as reported by The Spun’s Hunter Hodies:
“I understand it’s a business, but I can tell y’all I want to be here. I want to be here. I love where I’m at,” Brown said, via Eagles Nation.
Even though there’s been a lot of speculation, Brown is under contract for the upcoming season and beyond.
He also gave his side of the story making rounds in the media:
“What if my flare-ups on the sideline are because I care so much? And wanna hold people accountable and get them back up? Y’all just don’t see it from Jalen because that’s not his personality,” Brown said, via Eagles Nation. “But it’s mine. And I can do that because nobody works as hard as me and puts the work in as much as me, and I stand on that. Y’all take it as anger, it’s passion.”
Regardless of whether the allegations are true or false, it’s hard to deny that he’s an effective wide receiver when everything is clicking. He clocked in 1456 receiving yards, 7 TDs, and 13.7 yards per reception on a 56.3% catch success rate.
Philadelphia Eagles fans who still believe in Brown can only hope that the man is sorting out whatever issues he has with Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni before the 2024 season starts because succeeding with a dysfunctional locker room is almost impossible in today’s NFL.
