Head coach Nick Sirianni gave a brief but essential quote regarding drama that ensued on the Philadelphia Eagles sideline during their 34-28 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles built up a major lead early in the game, but the Vikings applied some pressure late in the second half to make it a close one. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown seemed stressed about his role in the offense before the start of the fourth quarter Thursday.

Cameras caught Brown having an animated conversation with quarterback Jalen Hurts. Brown wasn’t featured as heavily in the passing attack early on as DeVonta Smith. Sirianni came over to try and calm tensions.

According to video posted by Eliot Shorr-Parks, Sirianni was asked about the heated discussion after the game. Sirianni made a statement that showed the team has a mature environment. Sirianni said he didn’t really see what was going on between Brown and Hurts. A beat reporter called him on it because the TV footage caught him intervening.
Sirianni responded “okay” to being called on his prior statement but protected both of his star payers.
“The conversations we have on the field are going to be private,” Sirianni said. “Conversations we have in our locker room are going to be private. Y’all don’t need to know what was going on right there.”

The Eagles wound up winning the game, so that should be all that matters to Brown and Hurts.
Brown finished the game with four receptions on six targets for 29 yards. Smith led the Eagles in receiving with four catches on five targets for 131 yards and a touchdown. Tight end Dallas Goedert led the Eagles in targets with seven.
