The Philadelphia Eagles will miss one of their offensive weapons Thursday night. The Eagles are set to take on the Minnesota Vikings in Week on Thursday Night Football.
The Eagles appeared fine with most injuries at the end of the game against the New England Patriots in Week 1. However, the Eagles announced after the game Kenneth Gainwell and Reed Blankenship suffered rib injuries against the Patriots.
The Philadelphia Eagles rule out Kenneth Gainwell
Gainwell did not practice on Monday or Tuesday. It doesn’t seem like Gainwell had much of a chance to heal up in time to play in the short week. According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Eagles are listing Gainwell and cornerback James Bradberry out against the Vikings.

Gainwell is a considerable loss for the Eagles on Thursday night. The Eagles 2021 fifth-round pick led the Eagles in rushing in Week 1 with 54 yards on 14 carries.
The Eagles will need to rely on D’Andre Swift and Boston Scott to carry the load in Gainwell’s absence.
