Patrick Mahomes may have just played his last Super Bowl according to former Carolina Panthers running back, Jonathan Stewart. Stewart took to his X account to exclaim this after the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night in Super Bowl LIX.
On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs played against the Philadelphia Eagles and lost the game abysmally with a final score of 40-22. Mahomes passed for 257 yards, completing 21 passes out of 32 attempts, scoring three touchdowns with a pair of interceptions. On the ground, Mahomes led the team again with four carries for 25 yards. Despite his performance, NFL analysts were quick to remark that it was not Mahomes’ best work.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were confident of making a three-peat after winning the last two Super Bowls back to back. In fact, Mahomes was debated with Tom Brady as a GOAT candidate in the NFL. However, after his infamous defeat on Sunday, many have trolled the quarterback, with some even going to call for his retirement from the game.
Patrick Mahomes was the tenth pick in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and has been playing for the Kansas City Chiefs since then. Before applying for the draft, Mahomes played college football for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2014 to 2016. In the 2024 NFL draft, Mahomes managed a total of 3,28 yards, scoring 26 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.

In other news, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes was seen wearing a Psalm 121 wristband during his Super Bowl performance against the Philadelphia Eagles, delighting fans who managed to catch a glimpse of the bracelet in media pics. Psalm 121 from the Bible is a popular chapter from the book of Psalms in the Bible, which calls upon God for help.
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” The first and second verses of the Psalm say.
Patrick Mahomes has openly confessed that he is a practicing Christian and has often credited God for his success. In fact, he also remarked that he would want to glorify God when he and the Chiefs win the Super Bowl. Mahomes was baptized back in 2023 and follows Christian principles and practices with wife Brittany Mahomes in his family.
