Tee Higgins, wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, will be a free agent soon in March and has announced on the social media platform, X, that his followers there will be the first to know of his decision. Apart from Higgins, the Bengals too are yet to conclude their decision about Tee Higgins and have not announced anything official as of yet.

The Cincinnati Bengals finished the 2024 NFL season ranking third in the AFC North with nine wins and eight defeats. In their very last game of the season, the Bengals won against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-17, but it was too late to make it to the playoffs. In the most recently concluded NFL season, wide receiver Tee Higgins managed 73 receptions for 911 yards, scoring ten touchdowns.

“Im let yall know first” Tee Higgins tweeted through his X account.

Tee Higgins was the 33rd pick of the second round in the 2020 NFL draft and was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals where he has been playing ever since. Before that, Higgins played college football for the Clemson Tigers from 2017 to 2019.

As he becomes a free agent next month, Tee Higgins will be the most sought-after wide receiver in the market. It is still doubtful as to whether the Bengals will actually think of investing in Higgins as they are also paying up to keep wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase on their squad.

Tee Higgins Hopes To Continue With Cincinnati Bengals

Meanwhile, Tee Higgins recently remarked that he would definitely love to stay back with the Cincinnati Bengals and not necessarily hit the free-agent market. At the same time, the 26-year-old wide receiver also went on to admit that he knows well that the future is certainly not in his hands or in his control.

“Yeah, of course, we all want to keep the core pieces what it is, even with Mike Gesicki. That’s a core piece as well. So obviously, we want to build something here in Cincy. But you know, it’s nt in my hands right now. So I gotta do what I need to do, and if that’s go to another, that’s what happens.” Tee Higgins said via Joe Danneman from FOX19.

Higgins also spoke about his love for the city and the people and even the coaching staff, but mentioned that it is not in his control. It is true that Higgins is an expensive player, and to be able to play for the Bengals once more, this will mean bringing his pay way lower than what he desires.
