The Kansas City Chiefs were trying to make history against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday. The Chiefs were trying to be the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowl Titles.
However, the Eagles defense had other plans and they frustrated Patrick Mahomes and the offensive line all night long. Philadelphia dominated and won the game over Kansas City by a final score of 40-22. It was the second time in franchise history that the Philadelphia Eagles have won a Super Bowl Title.
NFL Analyst Dan Orlovsky Makes Bold Take About Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes
NFL Analyst Dan Orlovsky went onto the show Get Up on ESPN on Monday morning to talk about what transpired in the Super Bowl. Orlovsky said about Patrick Mahomes:
“”It’s the most unsettled and flustered I’ve ever seen Patrick look. It’s the worst game I’ve seen Patrick play.”
The Chiefs’ offensive line was manhandled all game long against the Eagles’ defensive line. Philadelphia did not blitz once in the game and they recorded several sacks in the game. Patrick Mahomes completed 21-of-32 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also rushed for 25 yards on four carries.
Mahomes looked worse than what the stat line showed. Even though he has won three Super Bowl titles and MVPs in his career, this was the worst he ever looked in a Super Bowl game, and that includes the blowout against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mahomes plays like trash in every Super Bowl he’s played in.
First one against the 49ers he was absolute garbage for 3.5 Qtrs. And then, the 49ers D absolutely collapses and the Chiefs comeback.

It will be interesting to see if the Kansas City Chiefs will get back to the big game anytime soon. Even though they have represented the AFC for the last five of six years, next season feels like a time when a team like the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens, the Cincinnati Bengals. or the Los Angeles Chargers will get to the Super Bowl.
