The Oregon Ducks are hoping to rebound in 2024. They had a great season but weren’t able to take down the Washington Huskies. Head coach Dan Lanning has been reloading in the portal to try and make sure the Ducks can compete in the Big Ten next year. The 2024 recruiting class got a huge boost when they flipped four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan from Ohio State.

Oregon Ducks Flip Jeremiah McClellan From Ohio State
This is a great flip for the Ducks. Ohio State has been a hotbed for wide receivers so the fact that the Buckeyes were in on him says a lot. He becomes the unquestioned top wide receiver in the Ducks 2024 class and has an opportunity to play right away. “The relationship that I had with the staff and how invested they were into me stood out,” McClellan told On3 earlier this week. McClellan is a top 20 wide receiver and top 60 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle.
2024 Outlook Getting Better
The Ducks landed not one but two quarterbacks via the transfer portal. They have landed some great defensive pieces in the portal as well. With the move to the Big Ten in 2024, the Ducks will have some tough opponents on the schedule. However, with the difficulty of the Pac-12 this year, Lanning’s team is no stranger to ranked matchups.
There is a very tantalizing matchup between Ohio State and Oregon in 2024. I’m sure McClellan will be wanting to show off for the team and the Buckeyes will want to show that he made a mistake.
