The transfer portal has been wild in college football thus far. Now, the Oregon Ducks have made one of the biggest transfer portal acquisitions in 2023. Find out who they secured below.
UCLA Bruins QB Dante Moore Transfers to Oregon
According to Hayes Fawcett, UCLA Bruins QB Dante Moore has announced that he plans to transfer to the Oregon Ducks. Moore was the #2 ranked quarterback from the Class of 2023. Both UCLA and Oregon plan to move to the Big Ten conference next season. Now, UCLA will have to watch their former quarterback play for their conference rival.
What This Means for the Oregon Ducks
It is one of the biggest transfer portal acquisitions in the 2023 college football season. The Oregon Ducks did a fantastic job coming up with an answer for their new quarterback concerns. Their current QB, Bo Nix, is more than likely going to declare himself for the NFL Draft.
That leaves the quarterback position open in Oregon for the 2024 season. Now, the Ducks seem to have multiple options to hand the reins to considering they also secured Dillon Gabriel from Oklahoma. Just how big of a deal is this?
Moore played one season for the UCLA Bruins. He had 1,610 passing yards and 11 touchdown passes in nine games this season. Now, Moore looks to put up more numbers with the Oregon Ducks. In the meantime, the UCLA Bruins will have to replace their quarterback.
