It’s been a tough season for the Oklahoma football program. In their first season in the SEC and on the heels of a ten-win season, Oklahoma is 5-5 through mid-November. After starting the season 3-0, OU is just 1-5 in SEC play and is fresh off a devastating conference loss against former rival Missouri. Nevertheless, Oklahoma will enjoy just their second weekend of this season before hosting the juggernaut Alabama Crimson Tide.

Meanwhile, Vegas sportsbooks updated their odds for the game, with Oklahoma opening as a massive underdog at home against Alabama. The Oklahoma football fans agree with Vegas, showing little faith in their team’s ability to avoid their sixth loss of the season.

According to The REF on Twitter:

OU opens as a 13-point underdog against Alabama.

Following an off week on Saturday, the 5-5 Oklahoma football program will host the Alabama Crimson Tide in the second to final weekend of the regular season. Meanwhile, Alabama, the tenth-ranked team in the latest rendition of the College Football Playoff, will have a tune-up game against the Mercer Bears this Saturday. With the SEC matchup approaching, Oklahoma has become a 13-point underdog against Alabama.

Alabama will enter the conference tilt in need of a win as they cling onto one of the final spots for the College Football Playoff 12-team field. Meanwhile, Oklahoma will try and snag their sixth win, making them bowl-eligible for the 26th straight season. However, Oklahoma football fans are not expecting their second win to come against Alabama in two weekends, with the Sooners operating as a massive underdog, albeit playing at home:

My ou friends on here are awesome and don’t take this personal cause I hope you improve… BUT.. the spread should be 24ish points.

If I was a betting man, Alabama to cover.

    — Gut McKraken (@KurtMar59632011) November 15, 2024

Take bama and the points. This will be a 42-6 kinda game.

    — Iron_Will_ (@AdcockRocky) November 15, 2024

Is that all? Is half of Alabamas team not making the trip to Norman??

    — Im_Just_Sayin (@Im_Just_SayingX) November 14, 2024

    Sadly I’d take Bama. 31-6 🥲

    — TRob405 (@TRob405) November 15, 2024

Betting on bama going to the game rooting for the Sooners lmao

    — ⭕️u (@EmperorNewo) November 14, 2024

This has to be a trap line. They actually kept it within 13 against Tennessee and Ole Miss, so I guess we’ll see what happens.

    — Kyle (@k_burghers) November 14, 2024

Some might not realize this is not Maine!
The offense will be pretty worthless against Alabama‘s defense.
OU defense will be on the field most of the game and be exhausted by the third quarter.
I’m afraid this one will be very ugly.

    — LF.Sooner (@LF_Sooner) November 14, 2024

Is that in the first half?

    — Mrs Burly (@JustTracy8) November 14, 2024

It should be 21-point difference and 14 point difference against LSU.

    — sooner (@dbmp51) November 14, 2024

    Is the the 1Q?
