Ohio State’s Star Player Is Frustrated That Tony Alford Is Leaving For Michigan

It was a sad morning in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday when Ohio State’s running back coach, Tony Alford, left to join their biggest rival, Michigan, to take the same position.

Michigan Took One Of Ohio State’s Best Coaches.

Mike Hart, Michigan’s running back coach, stated he would not return to the team last week, and Michigan had to fill the open position and snatched one from their biggest rivals.

Of course, Ohio State players would not be happy about this move, and one of their star players went to X to show his frustrations.

Cornerback Denzel Burke quoted the tweet of Alford leaving for Michigan and posed five thumb-downs emojis.

Burke disapproves of the move, and even though Burke isn’t a running back and is coached by Alford, it was a massive blow to the entire team to see one of their coaches join their biggest rival.

Burke was a highly-rated NFL prospect heading into 2023 and would’ve been a very high pick in this year’s draft. He would’ve declared for the draft but decided to return to school for his senior season and run it back.

Ohio State hasn’t beaten Michigan in three years, which is one of the significant reasons many players decided to come back to school and not enter the NFL Draft this season; now they will have to beat Michigan while taking down one of their former coaches.

It will be a big season for the Buckeyes, and now, seeing one of their coaches leave them to join their most significant rival will add more fuel to their fire.

I’m sure all Buckeye players and coaches can’t wait to make Alford 0-4 in the last four years in this rivalry.
