Nike dropped a video of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick modeling products before this year’s Super Bowl. Kaepernick has a long history with the Swoosh brand.
Colin Kaepernick has profited off his activism
Kaepernick teamed up with the brand in the fall to celebrate his political activism. He had a new hoodie and t-shirt for sale. But Kaepernick was celebrated this month for another more famous collaboration.
The department of Nike archives set up Hotel LVIII in Las Vegas to showcase their famous Air Max collaborations before the Super Bowl. Per a video the company released on Instagram, more than 100 pairs of Air Max shoes were available for NFL fans to see at the hotel.

Kaepernick had a pair there. Kaepernick’s “True to 7” Air Force 1 shoes sold out the first day they hit the market in 2019.
Nike released a video of Kaepernick in his signature shoes
Nike Football released a video of Kaepernick wearing his signature shoes on their Instagram page. Kaepernick posted the video on his page. The caption (maybe kaeption?) reads:
“Kap keeps it clean😏”

Kaepernick stays busy off the field with projects
Kaepernick might be done with his football career. But he’s still getting work for activism and clothing collaborations. Kaepernick is set to publish a book with his long-time girlfriend, Nessa Diab, this fall.
