The NFL has been heavily monitoring the Rashee Rice situation, and now it is being reported by Josina Anderson of CBS Sports that the Kansas City Chiefs star receiver will turn himself in following an arrest warrant that was issued.
The Dallas Police issued an arrest warrant for Rice on Wednesday, and the Chiefs receiver is now facing eight chargers in this shocking story. Rice lawyers have now made the public statement that Rice is fully cooperating with the authorities, and now he is going to turn himself in.
Rashee Rice Says He is Going To Turn Himself In
In a crazy NFL story that just keeps getting weirder, we now know that Rice was indeed driving one of the cars that was involved in a street race collision. His lawyer Royce West, confirmed that Rice was driving the Lamborghini that crashed in the street race in Dallas.
West also said that his client is fully cooperating with the police and he is planning to turn himself in following the arrest warrant:
“He’ll make certain that he’s responsible and that he helps them get through that particular part of this,” West said last week. “Don’t get us wrong, we understand that no one can bring back or help them get over the memories of being in that accident.”
Clearly, Rice knows he is in hot water and his team will try to the best they can working with the police to get justice to this situation. Rice will likely face a significant suspension from the NFL, and even worse, face time in prison.
