The NFL has now been vocal about monitoring the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice after a multi car accident, that was reported to be a street race, left a few individuals injured. The Chiefs have already come out with a public statement, that they are waiting to see all the findings before they make any decisions, and now the NFL has made a public statement as well regarding Rice and this strange story.
NFL Is On Top Of Rashee Rice Situation

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, an NFL spokesperson said that the league is “monitoring the situation” and waiting to get all the information before making an official decision. Per Andrew Gould at The Spun:
According to the Dallas Morning News, police were searching for Rice regarding a hit-and-run accident that took place on Saturday. Two cars, one of which is believed to be registered to the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, were speeding on North Central Expressway before causing a multi-car wreck.
The dashcam footage showed that there were two unidentified men leaving the scene after the crash. It was a hit and run as the two men fled without checking on any of the injured people. Two drivers had to be treated at the scene and two others were taken to the hospital. Thankfully there were no major injuries reported after what is being reported as a street race, involving a car in Rice’s name.
Rashee Rice’s Lawyers Official Statement

Rpyce West, Rice’s lawyer was quoted in his statement Monday:
Rice “is cooperating with local authorities and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.”
The president of the Kansas City Chiefs Mark Donovan is also keeping an eye on the situation, and will react accordingly when he has all the information.
“In all these situations you have to wait until you have all the facts, and frankly, we don’t have all the facts at this point,” Donovan told Mundo in the Morning on Monday,” per NBC News. “The one comforting fact that we do have is that there was a multi-car crash in Texas, in Dallas, and fortunately, it doesn’t appear that anyone was hurt, and we should be grateful for that. We’ll get to the bottom of it.”
