NFL: Rashee Rice Sued For $1 Million
According to FOX4 News in Kansas City, the 23 year old Chiefs star is being sued for $1 million by two of the victims in the accident that occurred last month in Texas. This is just the beginning of the legal ramifications that Rice will face in addition to his suspension that is undoubtedly coming from the NFL.
According to court documents the two plaintiffs, Irina Gromova and Edvard Petrovskiy, are suing for damages including: “trauma to the brain, lacerations to the face requiring stitches, multiple contusions about the body, disfigurement, internal bleeding, and other internal and external injuries that may only be fully revealed over the course of medical treatment.”
The two victims have also cited many other claims in addition in their suing of the Chiefs receiver. Rice will probably have to pay up or settle as he was driving the Lamborghini over 100 mph prior to the crash.
Rashee Rice Has Turned Himself In
It has now been reported that Rice is working with the authorities and has turned himself in following this whole crash. While he seems to be planning on going to training camp as he usually would, he should be facing a big suspension from the NFL.
Rice is also being sued for leaving the crime scene. The lawsuit claims that he and the other driver fled the scene and ignored the victims following the accident. The witnesses and victims reportedly tried getting his attention but he quickly fled the scene.
We will have to wait and see what happens to Rice, but as the days keep passing more and more bad news is coming out surrounding this case.
