The previous season saw a lot of quarterbacks rise up for their respective teams in the NFL. Now, sports analyst Shannon Sharpe and former Cincinnati Bengals star Chad Johnson revealed who the top five are according to their performance last year.
Sharpe, a legendary tight end in the NFL, achieved remarkable success during his career, securing three Super Bowl victories. Renowned for his exceptional skills on the field and his penchant for trash-talking, Sharpe left an indelible mark on professional football. Hailing from Chicago and having played at Savannah State, he was chosen as a seventh-round draft pick by the Broncos in 1990.

Notably, Sharpe spent 12 seasons with Denver and an additional two with Baltimore, accumulating impressive statistics for a tight end: over 10,000 receiving yards, 815 catches, and 62 touchdowns. His outstanding performance earned him eight Pro Bowl selections.
Johnson, a former wide receiver, enjoyed an 11-season run in the league. In the 2001 NFL draft, he was selected by the Bengals in the second round and remained with the team for a decade. In 2011, Johnson was traded to the New England Patriots and participated in Super Bowl XLVI as a member of the team. However, his time in the NFL faced a setback in 2012 when he played for the Miami Dolphins during preseason but was subsequently released due to an arrest related to domestic violence.

Having the Kansas City Chiefs’ franchise star at the top is no surprise for both NFL legends. What’s surprising, though, is having differing takes on C.J. Stroud, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Dak Prescott in their respective lists.

It remains to be seen whether the players Sharpe and Johnson mentioned will solidify their places as the top quarterbacks in the league. With only a few months left before the NFL returns, it won’t be long before these guys will prove their worth on the field.
