Chad Johnson is one of the biggest personalities in the sport of football. His touchdown celebrations were legendary during his playing career. Now, he is trying to enter the coaching world. He took to social media to announce he is officially joining the Las Vegas Raiders after a lunch with new head coach Antonio Pierce.
Chad Johnson To The Las Vegas Raiders?
Having dinner with Antonio Pierce & I’m going to ask for a job with the Raiders in some capacity to help diversify my portfolio/resume, this would be my 39th job if all goes well 🙏🏾

Johnson posted on X about a lunch with Pierce. He said he was going to ask for a job. Shortly after, he posted something that said he was “officially” a member of the Raiders, though the post was deleted. Pierce responded to the post by saying, “Put me in coach.” and “Taking over the NFL with former players like 85 … coaching up 17.” 85 is, of course, referring to Johnson’s jersey number, and 17 is Davante Adams. The biggest question remains: is this true?
Is This True?
At this point, we have no idea. The social media posts seem to indicate so, though until the team gives an official word, nothing is set in stone. It wouldn’t be far-fetched that Pierce would want to bring in former players. Those are the NFL people he has connections with, and coaches often bring in people they know personally. However, Johnson has been known to joke around on social media, and this could be him and Pierce having a little fun.
Will we see Chad Johnson on the sidelines in 2024? It would definitely be a fun addition to next season!
