The Miami Dolphins were one and done in the playoffs this season and they are looking to make numerous changes for a Super Bowl run next season. They had very bad luck this season as they fumbled the AFC Championship and the 2 seed, got plagued with injury right before the playoffs, and had to play the Super Bowl champion Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs. They have already hired a new DC who has plans of major change for next season.
New Miami Dolphins DC Has A lot Of Plans For 2024
In Anthony Weaver’s, the new DC’s, first press conference with the team he called Jalen Ramsey “the ultimate chess piece” and will look for many different ways to make him the impactful defender he is. He has plans to move him around next season and create very troubling looks for the quarterbacks around the league.
“To have him sit outside and be a field corner or something like that, I think is a detriment and we got to find ways to move them around where he can be most impactful,” Weaver said, via Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald.
It is clear that Weaver wants to come in and make many moves with the defense to make them high flying on both sides of the ball. Miami had one of the best offenses in the league during the regular season, and if they can get production from their defense they should be a force to be reckoned with. This team demolished the bad teams in the NFL and lost to the playoff teams, so they are one change away from being a legitimate juggernaut.
Jalen Ramsey Looks To Have A Bounce Back Season
It could be called a bounce back season for Ramsey even though he made another pro bowl, as the elite corner missed many games to injury. He will come back stronger and more ready as the Dolphins came so short of accomplishing any of their real goals. Ramsey wished his past DC Vic Fangio well as he will head to the Philadelphia Eagles to shape up their defense.
Ramsey is a future hall of fame player and this Miami team has great talent almost everywhere. They were quite unlucky this year in many regards and they will have to overcome those things next season if they want a chance to be a real contender. This was a year that they should have won the AFC East and been the two seed in the conference and it all fell apart. Ramsey and the Dolphins should be very hungry going into the off season to prove all the doubters wrong.
