The NFL Football season is flying by. After this week, the regular season is a third of the way done. There’s no doubt there are surprise teams. Team that have exceeded expectations and some teams have disappointed.
Week six of the NFL season contains some really good games. However, there are three games that stick out to me the most. Here are my top three games of the week in the NFL.
NFL Football Game of the Week: Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Who would have thought in week six this would be the best game on the week. Both teams come on with only one loss. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:25 on FOX.
We knew Detroit was poised to have a break out year this year. So far, they are proving why they can be one of the top teams in the NFC. They have skill players at important positions and Jared Goff is being smart with the ball. They look be running away with the NFC North already.
I don’t think anyone expected Tampa Bay to be sitting at 3-1 on the season. Baker Mayfield has done a good job running the offense for a team that was expected to be in on a quarterback in the 2024 Draft with a high pick. The Buccaneers still have play-maker son the defensive side as well.
NFL Football Game of the Week: Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals
Seattle just seems to do their thing and is having another good start to the NFL Football season. Geno Smith is running the offense nicely and the duo of D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett looks to be as strong as ever. The defense can still be a question although they gave up only three points last week to the Giants.
Cincinnati needed a win bad last week to avoid starting 1-4 and they got it. At 2-3, this is a game they need as well with the 49ers and the Bills being their next two games. Again, it all lies on the health of quarterback Joe Burrow. It’s hard to tell if and when he’ll be close to 100%, but Burrow, injured or not, gives this team the best chance to win.
NFL Football Game of the Week: New York Giants at Buffalo Bills
This is a Sunday night game that is make or break for both teams in my opinion. It’s a tall task for the Giants, who are 14.5 point underdogs after it was announced Daniel Jones would miss this game with a neck injury. It’s been a terrible start for the Giants at 1-4 after making it to the divisional round in the playoffs in the 2022 NFL Football season.
If Buffalo is going to be a serious contender for the Super Bowl, they can’t start the season 3-3. With how hot the Miami Dolphins are, they need to keep pace if they want to win the AFC East and potentially host multiple playoff games. 4-2 just seems a lot better than 3-3. The Giants have a long list of players out for this game. As a result, this seems like a get right game for the Bills on prime time.
