Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has made it known that he hears the rumbling from the Seattle Seahawks. Fellow wideout and Seattle star DK Metcalf spoke to the media and voiced his opinions about the Bengals standout as the two teams will square off in Week 6. Metcalf praised Chase’s catching ability and talent but believes he will have his hands full against the Seattle secondary, specifically rookie corner Devon Witherspoon.

“But, I think ‘Spoon (rookie CB Devon Witherspoon) will get the best of him,” said DK Metcalf on Ja’Marr Chase.
“He’s always going to be a competitor at practice, and I see now, it translates to the game,” added Metcalf.
Ja’Marr Chase took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to repost the video of DK Metcalf talking about Sunday’s tilt.

Devon Witherspoon to Align Across Ja’Marr Chase
Devon Witherspoon looks to be a future multi-time Pro-Bowler and is amid a thrilling campaign. After playing four seasons with the Illinois Fighting Illini, Witherspoon was the fifth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. The 22-year-old was a consensus All-American in 2022. He also won the Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year Award, an honor given to the best defensive back in the Big Ten Conference.
Witherspoon has 23 tackles, four pass deflections, two sacks, and an interception in three games for the Seahawks. The six-foot corner returned his lone pick for a touchdown in Week 4 against Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. He is just the third rookie in NFL history to record 2.0+ sacks and a pick-six in a single game, joining Super Bowl champions Todd Shell and Andy Katzenmoyer. Witherspoon won the NFC DPOTW Award for his performance.
