New York Jets receiver Garrett Wilson came into 2023 looking to have a huge season. Aaron Rodgers was a huge upgrade over Zach Wilson and the offense was finally going to pull their weight. That all changed four snaps into the season. After another embarrassing loss to the Miami Dolphins on Black Friday, Wilson was lost for words.
New York Jets Garrett Wilson On Week 12 Loss
Wilson feels for the fans and doesn’t know what else to say about the state of the offense.
“I don’t know what to tell Ya’ll. I don’t know what to tell the fans. I’m out of words. I’m out.”
This sounds like a broken man. The Jets offense hasn’t been able to do anything this season. Wilson and many others have shown visible frustration on the field during games. The combination of Wilson and Tim Boyle haven’t been able to produce and the offensive line injuries are starting to pile up as well. With the defense keeping the team in games, the offense simply needs to do something to make this team competent.
Frustration Boiling Over
We are almost to the point of a locker room blow up it seems. It feels like frustration levels are rising with each loss. It’s hard to see where the improvement comes from the Jets. Robert Saleh announced that Boyle will start in week 13. At this point, they are unlikely to try and get another quarterback on the season. In some ways, it is almost better to punt on the season and try and get a top prospect in the draft.
Garrett Wilson seems completely defeated over the New York Jets season. We know what he can do on the field and if he just had a competent quarterback, he could be putting up big numbers. 2024 is probably what Wilson and the offense are looking towards which is not where you want to be with six weeks left in 2023.
