New York Jets Trade Deadline
If these trades were to fall through, it would have shocked the NFL world. New York was relatively quiet during the trade deadline, and Douglas shared his thoughts on the team’s attempts. He said, “There need to be buyers. There need to be sellers. We’ve made a lot of inquiries and had a lot of discussions about a lot of different positions but ultimately didn’t get any other deals done. That’s where we are.”
The Jets are currently sitting at a 4-3 record and will be hosting the Los Angeles Chargers this coming week on Monday Night Football. They have been stout on the defensive side of the ball, and have done barely enough on the offensive side to pull out more wins than losses. If they somehow added one of these receivers, it would for sure change the entire dynamic of the offense.
Adams And Evans
There was rumors going around about Adams possibly getting traded to the Jets after he revealed that he and Aaron Rodgers miss each other a lot. He has also been frustrated with the way the Raiders have been utilizing him and not having a winning culture. He has expressed these frustrations over the entire season, which could have been a big reason for former head coach Josh McDaniels to be fired.
As for Evans, he and the Buccaneers had some disagreements on contract restructuring which led to him publicly showing his frustration with the organization. He will play until at least the end of this season as he is in his final year of his contract, and will likely test the waters of free agency this offseason if the team does not go to the postseason.
