New York Jets running back Breece Hall took note of the offensive line free agency signings that are taking place all over the NFL on Monday.
Hall, who was a game-changer for the New York Jets in his second year in the NFL, is seemingly clamoring for his team to join in on the fun.
So far, the closest thing the Jets have to a free agency signing that could be beneficial to Breece Hall is the re-signing of backup tight end Kenny Yeboah. The Jets have not made any offensive line moves in free agency thus far.

In 2023, the Jets’ starting offensive line consisted of tackles Mekhi Becton and Carter Warren, guards Vitaliy Gurman and Wes Schweitzer along with center Connor McGovern. Becton was a highly-touted prospect out of Louisville who hasn’t quite panned out like the first-round talent the Jets hoped he would be.
Many NFL insiders speculate that Becton will not remain with the team in 2024. This means the Jets will have to replace him along with attempting to improve other parts of their offensive line.
The New York Jets have had an offensive line problem since 2019

The Jets’ offensive line has been a problem since 2019 as they were blamed for having a role in the stunting of quarterback Sam Darnold’s development. New York Jets general manager Joe Douglas explained how they might have affected Darnold in an article from The Athletic.
“The one thing we didn’t want (was) a situation where Sam was just going to have to be under fire all the time with protection issues,” Douglas said.
Douglas said in the same article that the offensive line would be a “big reflection point” in the 2024 offseason.
“Obviously, we’ve invested a lot of resources in that position,” he said, adding: “I feel like we do have a few cornerstone players on that offensive line moving forward and building around those guys and keep adding to the group.”
Things didn’t change much this year, as they were often blamed for the injury to star veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which occurred just four plays into his inaugural season with the Jets.

The broadcast didn’t show this, but you can see Rodgers tries to plant his foot, and he quickly realizes it’s over.
This entire clip is so crushing.

After Rodgers went down, the New York Jets allowed backup quarterback Zach Wilson to be sacked the third most out of any quarterback in the NFL. This was despite the Jets going with another quarterback in the middle of the season.
Running back Breece Hall still found a way to succeed despite poor play from the Jets offensive line. Hall played in every game and had just under 1,000 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the season.
Breece Hall’s impact on the game was massive on the receiving end as he had 76 receptions for just under 600 yards. The argument could be made that he had to be used more as a check-down option due to a lot of pressure from opposing defenses.
Despite Hall’s success, there were still 12 running backs with more rushing yards than him on the season. His five rushing touchdowns could also see improvement, and he might think that is the case as well given what he put out there for the world to see on social media.
