The New York Giants have a difficult division to navigate and a lot of eyes are going to be on how the team and quarterback Daniel Jones does in 2024. He suffered a torn right ACL late last season and looked well in OTAs just six months following the injury.
While speaking after 7-on-7 drills on Thursday, Jones discussed how he felt.
“It feelsgood. It felt good out there [Thursday]. But just getting back in the swing of things and playing football against a defense, against guys moving around. I thought it was good [Thursday]. Continue to kind of progress and continue to work on things.”
While practicing, he notably is not wearing a brace on the right knee while participating in all three voluntary OTA practices this week, outside of the 11-on-11 drills. Daniel Jones feels good about being on the field when the 2024 season begins against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
“No, I don’t have any doubts about [playing Week 1] right now.”
Daniel Jones was not playing well before the season-ending injury as he finished 108-of-160 (67.5%) for 909 yards with a pair of touchdowns and six interceptions while running 40 times for 206 yards (5.2 yards per attempt) and one rushing touchdown in six games.
The team did reportedly did engage with talks with the New England Patriots’ third-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
What should the New York Giants expect out of Daniel Jones in 2024?

The New York Giants have added some solid offensive weapons and even added a pass-catcher with their first-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft with wide receiver Malik Nabers. Right now, the projected depth chart has Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson, Allen Robinson and Jalin Hyatt at the wide receiver position.
In addition, the team also has tight end Darren Waller and a mediocre offensive lineman so this year’s offense is stepping up. This New York Giants offense should be a bit better but this is the final year before the team could move on from Jones as they could cut him two years into his four-year, $160 million contract.
The Giants are going to be in a tough division but their season will depend on how healthy the offense can remain.
