5 Bold Predictions That Will Happen To The Cleveland Browns In 2024

The Cleveland Browns are looking to make the playoffs again this season after a great 2023 campaign, and here are five predictions of what will happen this year.

     1. Deshaun Watson Bounces Back, Plays In All 17 Games, And Throws For 30+ Touchdowns

Quarterback Deshaun Watson has not lived up to the hype since being traded to the Browns two seasons ago, and it’s time for him to either put on a show or Cleveland will be looking for a new quarterback. Last season, Watson lost most of his year with a shoulder injury, and he started to show flashes of his old Houston Texan self before his injury.

This will be the season where Watson puts it all together in Cleveland and will play in all 17 games, throwing for 30+ scores. The former Clemson star threw for 33 touchdowns in his last season with the Texans in 2020 in an offense that didn’t have much around him, and this Browns offense has a good amount of playmakers in wide receivers, Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Elijah Moore, and tight end David Njoku.

If Watson stays healthy, there is no reason why he can’t throw for over 30 touchdowns this season, and Browns fans should get ready because he is going to do it.

    2. David Njoku Goes Over 1,000 Mark

Last season, tight end David Njoku finally broke out after several seasons of everyone waiting to see if he would live up to the hype coming out of college in 2017. Njoku had the best season of his career last year, recording 882 receiving yards and six touchdowns. If the Browns offense wants to take off again this season, Njoku will have to be a major part of it, and going over 1,000 receiving yards will happen.

Njoku will make himself one of the five best tight ends in the NFL this season and will be a very nice playmaker for Watson.

    3. Myles Garrett Wins Defensive Player Of The Year Again

This is an easy one. Myles Garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL, and he was finally rewarded last season with his first-ever Defensive Player of the Year Award; who says he can’t win it again this season? Garrett will flourish again this year, but this time in season two of Jim Schwartz’s defense, which will help lead him to the second DOPY award of his career.

    4. Cleveland Browns Win The AFC North

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (1) drops back to throw a pass on a trick play before being tackled by Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (95) in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 14 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022. The Bengals improved to 9-4 with a 23-10 win over the Browns. Cleveland Browns At Cincinnati Bengals Week 14

It has to happen at some point, right? So why not this season? The Cleveland Browns finally win the AFC North and host a home playoff game. This season is set up well for the Browns to win the North, even though they have one of the hardest schedules in the league. The Baltimore Ravens took a step back roster-wise this offseason and have huge issues on the offensive line. The Pittsburgh Steelers have two quarterbacks who can’t play, and the Cincinnati Bengals can’t seem to get past the Browns.

This is the year they put it all together, win the division, and have a postseason to remember.

    5. Browns Lose In The AFC Title Game

The Browns finally return to the AFC title game but lose to the Kansas City Chiefs. Until someone in the AFC decides to knock off Patrick Mahomes, not named Joe Burrow, there is no picking against him and the team, and sadly, the Browns season ends right before the Super Bowl.
