The New Orleans Saints reportedly almost had a trade in place for Las Vegas Raiders Pro Bowl receiver Hunter Renfrow, however, they were unable to get it done at the last minute of the deadline. Renfrow has been a part of many trade rumors this season as his production value on the Raiders has gone down significantly.

New Orleans Saints And Las Vegas Raiders Rumors
The Saints were pretty quiet during the trade deadline and did not make any moves. This would have been a great move for the team to get quarterback Derek Carr some receiving depth. There would also be a sense of familiarity as Carr and Renfrow played with each other in Las Vegas for many years and had a great connection.
The Raiders have had a lot of rumors circling regarding a lot of their key players getting traded, however, all of their players have stayed with the team. The only member on the team that was let go was head coach Josh McDaniels just a few hours after the deadline.
Hunter Renfrow
Renfrow has had a quiet year in 2023, amounting to just 92 receiving yards and zero touchdowns with Jimmy Garoppolo as the quarterback. He has had a 1,000-plus-yard season back in 2021 but has not been the same since then, which many believe to be an issue with the organization.
In his career since joining the league in 2019, the receiver has gone for 2,721 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. He has never been the top option to throw to on the team, and it could be the reason Las Vegas was looking to trade him away. He will have to remain on the team for this season at least, but could likely look at what other teams will offer him next season.
