New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham has played for four NFL franchises in his 13-year career. He just finished a one-year deal with the Saints, the same team that drafted him and with whom he spent the first five years of his NFL career. After leaving New Orleans, Graham played for the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, and Chicago Bears.
Of course, Graham is best known for being one of the greatest receiving tight ends in NFL history. The first eight seasons of his career, spent with the Saints and Seahawks, saw him accumulate 6,800 receiving yards and 69 touchdowns. After what could be considered his prime football seasons, Graham continued to rack up yards and touchdowns, albeit on a smaller scale.
That being said, Graham currently has 8,545 receiving yards and 89 touchdowns for his career. This past year, he only had six receptions for 39 yards, but four of those receptions were touchdowns.
Jimmy Graham Has Other Interests Outside of Football
In August of 2023, Graham was hit by a car while cycling in Miami. The news of which was broken by Graham’s former teammate on the Packers, AJ Hawk, on The Pat McAfee Show. As he broke the news, Hawk alluded to some of the extreme interests that the Saints tight end has outside of football:
“He was riding his bike down in Miami yesterday or two days ago. I got pictures. Car turns left, hits him, takes him out. He says he did more damage to the car than the car did to him. He has a slice in his calf that looked like he had worms growing out of it. It was so deep and all the stuff in there you could see, and now he has tons of stitches.
“He might be the most interesting man in the world.”
A Bleacher Report story on Graham’s incident revealed that he also is an avid cyclist, was training to sail around the world before signing his contract with New Orleans, and has a pilot’s license.
